Flash alert – Covid-19 Pandemic: 445 More Confirmed Cases on 21 January

At 20:00, the Ministry of Health and Sports (MoHS) reported 445 new cases in the last 24 hours. They were detected out of 19,147 tests, i.e. a positivity rate of 2.3%. 16 more patients died from the disease in the last 24 hours. 


Since the beginning of the pandemic in Myanmar, in March 2020, 136,116 people have been contaminated by Covid-19. With the 16 additional fatalities reported tonight, the number of fatalities has crossed a symbolic threshold: 3,013 people have died from Covid-19 since March.
